The Killer Cadets (Case of Diane Zamora & David Graham)

Diane Zamora and former fiancé, David Graham, were convicted of capital murder and sentenced to life in prison, for the murder of 16-year-old Adrianne Jones.

There was no reason for the two teenage girls, to imagine that they had anything in common. They were just two typical teenage girls living life in Texas. What Diane Zamora & Adrianne Jones didn't realize, was that they would be drawn to the same boy -- a lean high school senior named David Graham, who was the "perfect guy."

David chose to be with Diane, who was described as "the disciplined one" by her mother because she would start studying for school at six o'clock each morning.

However, David could not deny his attraction to cross-country star, Adrianne Jones who was called "bubble butt" by her mom because her bottom moved in circles when she walked. David found himself spending more time with Adrianne.

In the early hours of December 3, 1995, a farmer driving along a country road, saw the body of a teenage girl behind a fence.

At first, he thought he was looking at road kill. The girl’s face was nearly unrecognizable. One bullet hole was in her left cheek, another in her forehead. She had been hit so hard on the left side of her head that the part of the skull above her ear was caved in like a pumpkin. She was wearing flannel shorts and a gray T-shirt that read, “UIL Region I Cross Country Regionals 1995.”
Within a few hours, police identified the body as teenage girl, Adrianne Jones.

It was precisely Adrianne’s popularity that was going to make the investigation into her murder so hard to solve. (Because Adrianne’s body had been found in the outskirts of the Dallas suburb Grand Prairie, detectives from that city’s police department—Dennis Clay and Dennis Meyer—and their boss, deputy police chief Brad Geary, were put in charge of the case.)

It became clear to the authorities, that Adrianne knew her killers. An autopsy found no evidence that Adrianne was sexually assaulted, which could mean that Adrianne’s murder was an act of execution, instead, of rape.
fury. As one investigator would later say, “It takes a cold-blooded person to shoot a pretty young girl in the face from two to four feet away. That girl was mangled, and it was sickening to look at.”

Within Mansfield, teachers and administrators had set up special for students to meet with counselors A tree was planted in memory of Adrianne next to the junior varsity soccer field, and more than 150 of her classmates joined hands around the tree and shouted, “Unity! Strength! Courage!”

Many rumors came up for the cause of Adrianne’s death. Such as, a friend of Adrianne had killed her or orther things.

Things came crashing down when a rumor of began to spread around, apparently, Adrianne had an affair with David, who reluctantly told his girlfriend, Diane and the two began to plan Adrianne’s murder, to “purify their love.”

This rumor was not such a rumor, as Diane had bragged to her roomates that she and David had killed Adrianne. The roomate went to the authorities with this information, leading to the formal arrest of Diane & David.
A trial has convicted Diana Zamora and David Grahm of murder in 1995. Since then, Diane has gotten married to her husband, Steven Mora.
They are both eligible for parole in 2036, for this horrific murder.
