The morning of January 15th, 1947, was a crucial one. A mother was taking her three year-old child for a walk in a Los Angles neighborhood, It was there where she stumbled upon a gruesome sight, a body of a young naked woman who was sliced clean in half at the waist.  The body was only a few feet away from the sidewalk and was posed in a way that the mother thought the body was a mannequin at a first glance. Despite the many cuts on the body, there was not one drop of blood at or even near the scene. The investigation into the young woman mysterious death, was led by the Los Angles Police Department. The FBI was asked to help with the investigation and identified the body, rather quickly, just 56 minutes, in fact, after getting fingerprints via "Sound-photo"  The young woman was identified as 22-year-old Hollywood, upcoming actress whose name was Elizabeth   Short , but is rather known as the "Black Dahlia" by the news and press for her sheer black clothing.  Short...

 Unknown to the young woman's family, who had been trying to get ahold of her for a while, the young 23 year old woman had died In her apartment in Connecticut.  Shantell Fields had not heard from her daughter all day. "Are you OK?" She texted. "Please let me know." Worried, Mrs. Fields and her son went to Lauren's apartment in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and were met by a note on the door, that read, "If you're looking for Lauren, call this number".  Mrs. Fields began panicking as she called the number. Soon, the landlord of Lauren's apartment came downstairs. "I started panicking," she said, while holding her tears back. "All I could do was just stand there, like if I was frozen. I could not believe what he was telling me, that my baby was gone." Lauren Smith Fields , had been found dead in her apartment complex, the day before by the Bridgeport police.   The FBI says that its investigation into the case of Gabby Petito , the woman who went missing September, 11th, is finally coming to a close.  Petito was reported missing in September of 2021 by her family, after going on a road trip  with her fiancé Brian Laundrie .        Laundrie, returned to he and Petito's home in Florida alone and refused to speak to the FL police, before, disappearing which began a weeklong search for him.  Whilst the search for  Laundrie was still under way, officials in Wyoming stumbled upon Petito's remains and the coroner ruled her COD (Cause Of Death) to be strangulation. After authorities combed through the 25,000- acre reserve in Florida, they formally announced that they had found Laundrie's remains.
